We had a great FHE with the Familia Fernandez! and We now have a video of the Hermana Hernandez dancing to Taylor Swift with no shame! He is this big bulky dad with mustache and all and he is grooving to one of his daughters songs “Shake” by taylor swift! hahhaahaha TOOO FUNNY! they are so great! we had a great FHE and learned more about our Savior Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.
We found a new investigator- Nancy. We have taught her 2 times and she is super receptive and likes to learn more and listen to us. She told us that her husband started reading the BOOK OF MORMON and she wants to kepp listening to the charlas and go to church! :)We taught her about prophets and she told us that it would make sense that we would still have profets today.
We also began revisiting Lucy and Manuel old inestigators (The Grandparents). Manuel is SOOOO ready for baptism! We arrived to have the lesson and he told us he read in the BOM and we asked him what he learned and he told us that it talked about the importance of Baptism and that he needs to be baptized and that he wants to be baptized. He is just nervous about living obedient afterwards but he is progressing so much and really has a desire and understanding! 🙂
We visited lots of people and talked to lots of people in the street with a member that always goes out with us. Her name is Magali and she is so awesome. She wanted to serve a mission but then she had an accident but SHE IS A MISSIONARY! everyday she shares the gospel with people and she always wants pass along cards and pamplets to share with the people! HOW AWESOME! I told her what we were planning on teaching with some investigators and when we went to pick her up to acompany us she was studying and preparing! How awesome is that!
We had a lesson with our other investigator EVER and he has been reading the BOM he told us all about what was happening with Nephi and his family! He is progressing a lot and is starting to gain a testimony of the BOM. Tonight we are going to have a lesson with him and talk more about the Espiritu Santo to help him really gain an answer to his questions and to know the church is true! 🙂
MY companion bore her testimony in English!!!!!!!! woooohoooooo it was so awesome! We practiced a lot but it was worth it. She gave it in front of the whole ZONE! I told her it would be good to help her gain confidence in herself! 🙂 and she did it! woooohoooo it was so good! hahah in this reunion de zona 2 embarassing things happened to me….
- we were talking about the importance of knowing our leaders and them knowing us and they began asking us to name the names of our leaders in the ward and then they asked our bishop to say our names he beings… “elder arrrmmmswirty(armsworthy) brazosdignos, elder tomas, hermana chinshillas, y hermana ehhhhhhh….. algo muy dificil(something super hard….) everyone bagan the ooooooohhhhh and then we had to help him say my name. hahahaha
- we then began talking about talents and they asked who plays basketball and the people raised their hands and then he questioned who likes math…. my hand shot up like the nerd i am… and no one else´s… haha everyone saying WHAT A NERD! haha wooohoooooo hahatooooooo funny
This week we also did lots of ALB´s (abrir la boca-open the mouth). I love it!!! I love talking to people. My companion was super nervous but we set aside time to go do it and now she loves it almost as much as me! it was so fun getting to know people knocking on doors and the whole shabang! 🙂 We then had a FHE in the church with members and all the youth! it was relly fun and we ate pizzas and it was so great to see the youth and the members enjoying the time together!
It was also the birthday of our investigator Glecia so we went by and I gave her my flip flops because she didn’t have any. She had been using the shoes of her husband because all the money she was using it was for food for her kids and the house. She was so happy and she almost started crying!

I LOVE THE MISH!!!!!!!! I am so happy here and I know I am doing the Lord´s work and that makes me so happy! I seriously love Argentina and the people and all that comes with it (crammed bus rides, holidays every week, siesta and all stores closed, everyone sleeping in their homes for hours, trash in the streets, peòple burning trash in the corners and DOGS LOTS OF DOGS!) I LOVE IT ALL!!!!!!
I would like to finish my letter with something I was studying in my presonal study. I started reading the BOM again!
in 1 nefí 3.31
This is just right after the angel visits nefi and his brothers. and pay atention to what laman and lemuel do right afterwards.
31 And after the angel had departed, Laman and Lemuel again began to murmur, saying: How is it possible that the Lord will deliver Laban into our hands? Behold, he is amighty man, and he can command fifty, yea, even he can slay fifty; then why not us?
We all know they go back to murmuring as though the angel had never visited them and we always say or least I did how could they go back to murmurimg after seeing an angel but I realized this is something we too do a lot! How many times do we go to a conference or have a spiritual experience and right after we go back to doing and living the same life as before. Just like Laman and Lemuel. When we have these experiences we need to take advantage of them we have the oportunities to change to become better and to grow! I hope all of us can take advatage especially of the general conference and when we finish the sessions not just go back to the life we were living before but start making changes to live a better life due to the impact of the conference and the spirit that was felt.
i hope that makes sense i am typing really fast and am translating from my castellano! :))
I LOVE YOU ALLL DEARLY AND HOPE TO KEEP HEARING FROM YOU!
